Fishing at Lake Lucerne

Fishing at Lake Lucerne is a peaceful and calming experience. All guests are welcome to fish from any point around our 6-acre pond. There are 3 small docks, a well as the waterfront area by the dam that you can enjoy.

In the summer months we have had a number of guests that bring their children to teach them how to fish. Fishing at Lake Lucerne was where they had their first experience and they want to share that with their children.

Fishing License Information

The state of Arkansas requires a fishing license, which can be purchased at:

  • Tad’s Quick Stop, West on Hwy 62
  • Exxon station West on Hwy 62 towards Beaver Dam

We are a catch and release lake.

Help Take Care of our Ducks and Geese

At the end of the day, you are responsible for cleaning up and picking up after yourself. It is imperative that you make every effort to clear all snags and pick up fishhooks. We have had problems with them getting snagged on our geese and ducks.  They can and do cause injury and death.

We thank you for being conscientious and careful.  We want you to enjoy fishing at Lake Lucerne.

Lake Lucerne Fish

  • Bass
  • Blue Gill
  • Catfish
  • Crappie
  • Grass Carp
  • Perch or Sun Fish

Prehistoric-looking Fish in the Lake

The large, prehistoric-looking fish in the lake are Grass Carp. They are very old, very lethargic, 30 to 36 inches long and we ask you don’t try to catch them. They are more visible during the spring, in large pods near the surface. We have seen as many as 45 at one time.

Thank you and enjoy your stay at our Lake Lucerne Resort and Ranch.
