Check In & Check Out – Lake Lucerne Resort and Ranch
Check In 4 PM – No Exceptions please. We are unable to accept early arrivals.
Check Out 11 AM. For the courtesy of our cleaning staff and the next guests arriving, please be prompt. $50 charge per hour for delayed checkouts.
Minimum Night Stays
We currently have a 2-night stay requirement, 3-night stay on most holidays and festivals and 4-night stay on Thanksgiving weekend. Booking as a group or booking more than one cottage the minimum night requirement is one night more than the above minimums.
Reservations & Payment
Reservations are guaranteed with a valid credit card and 50% of your reservation before taxes. $30 of your deposit is a non-refundable booking fee. The balance of your stay will be run on the credit card we have on file the day of your arrival.
Payment accepted (besides cash): MasterCard, VISA, Discover. We do not accept checks. We do not accept American Express.
Rates & Taxes
Rates are based on two person/ one bed occupancy and do not include tax. Tax is 9% at the resort and 14.375% at the Cricket Cottage downtown.
Children & Infants
We are delighted to welcome well-behaved children and infants at Lake Lucerne Resort and Ranch. We have three cottages that are Couples Only– Sassafras, Valerian and Cabin 2. These three are not suitable for children/infants.
Cancellation Policy Information
We are a small, privately-owned business and cancellations impact us significantly. A last-minute cancellation gives us little chance of filling your cottage/cabin. We have turned away other bookings to honor your reservation. Large hotels over-book to cover these cancellations. We do not. Therefore, we uphold a strict Cancellation Poicy.
Reservations must be cancelled 14 days prior to the arrival date for a refund. If cancellation is made less than 14 days before your reservation date, you are responsible for the full amount of your stay unless your cottage/cabin can be re-rented for the entire reservation.
If cancellation is made 14 days or more before your reservation date you will be refunded in full, less a $30.00 processing fee.
Changing Your Reservation
You are welcome to make changes to your reservation 14 days or more prior to your reservation date. After 14 days, you are subject to all of our cancellation policies. Reducing the number of days of a stay is considered the same as a cancellation and you will be subject to the same policy as stated above. The Minimum stay requirement will still apply. If you make a reservation less than 14 days prior to arrival, that reservation is subject to our Cancellation Policy.
Non-Refundable or Cancellable Holidays
Major Holidays, including Valentine’s weekend, and some major festivals, are not cancellable at any time after the reservation is made. You will be charged in full for canceling these holidays and festivals:
- Valentine’s Weekend – dates determined by the Innkeeper
- Memorial Weekend
- Blues Festival Weekend
- Fourth of July Weekend
- Labor Day Weekend
- Columbus Day Weekend
- War Eagle Weekend
- Thanksgiving Weekend
- Christmas Week
- New Year’s Eve
If you leave before the date scheduled for departure or if you do not show up for your reservation, you will be charged for the full amount of your reservation. No Refunds. Reducing the number of days of a stay is considered the same as a cancellation and you will be subject to the same policy as stated above. The minimum stay requirement will still apply.
Weather Cancellation Policy
You may cancel due to dangerous driving weather the day before or the day you are due to arrive. We do not accept weather as a cancellation excuse anytime prior. We do check current weather conditions. If you must cancel your reservation due to weather conditions, you have the choice of re-booking at that time or taking your deposit as a gift certificate, good for up to 3 months from the date issued. The Gift Certificate then becomes non-refundable and non-transferable.
Lake Lucerne Resort and Ranch Gift Certificates are valid for one year from the date of issue. Gift Certificates must be mentioned when you make your reservation. All booking restrictions and cancellation policies apply. No full or partial refunds for unused portion. Once a reservation is made with a Gift Certificate, it may not be rescheduled or changed.
Reserving the Right to Terminate Your Stay
Your reservation is not a renter’s agreement – you may be asked to leave the property or be removed from the property due to any behavior we deem unacceptable without a refund.
Friends of our Guests
We request all unregistered guests/visitors be respectful of registered guests and the property. Please no more than two additional cars at any time. Please notify the Resort Manager about anyone visiting your cottage. Guests must leave the property by 9PM.
No Smoking/ No Candles
A $150 fee will be charged to the registered guest of any cottage that smells of smoke or incense. Strictly enforced. Candles and incense are not allowed inside any of our properties.
A replacement fee will be charged for any items missing from a cottage on the date of checkout, including fixtures, towels, bedding and decorative items.
By making a reservation, you have agreed to all of our policies, including agreeing that any and all damage to our property that occurs during your stay, including replacement or repair cost to damaged furnishings or fixtures, stained sheets, towels, bedding, rugs, etc, spa tubs or showers overfilling causing water damage will be charged to the card of the registered guest responsible for that cottage. We reserve the right to determine to what extent the items can be repaired, dry cleaned, or if they need to be replaced. This is non-negotiable. Extra fees will be charged for the following:
- Moved furniture – PLEASE return all indoor and outdoor furniture back where you found it.
- If excessive cleaning is required, as we deem necessary.
- Kitchens in our cottages left untidy. We have priced our cottages as low as possible, and we view our kitchens as an extra privilege – please clean up the kitchen before you leave.
- No parties are allowed on any of our properties – a party consists of more than the maximum occupancy for the cottage being present and will warrant extra use/cleaning fees starting at $100.00
Weddings & Vow Renewals
All weddings/vow renewals at Lake Lucerne Resort and Ranch must be scheduled thru our wedding coordinator. We focus on small, intimate Wedding ceremonies on the Floating Gazebo on Lake Lucerne. Lake Lucerne is private property.
Reserving a Wedding Package
Reservations for a wedding on the floating gazebo must be scheduled in advance thru our Wedding Coordinator, Zoie Kaye 479-253-8035.
Our standard cancellation policy of 14 days applies for the cabin/cottage reservation. Wedding fee, cake, photographer, and flowers for the wedding must be paid for 14 days in advance of the wedding and are non-refundable/non-transferable.
Wedding General Instructions
Wedding guests are to arrive at The Hub no earlier than 30 minutes before the wedding, Lake Lucerne staff will take them to the Wedding Gazebo at the appropriate time. We ask that guests not go the bride and groom’s cabin/cottage prior to the wedding. Helpers should arrive at the cabin/cottage in a timely fashion to assist the bridal couple in getting to their wedding on time. It is important the wedding take place on time.
Immediately following the wedding, you may gather for social time at The Hub. We do not allow receptions, dinner parties or general parties in our Cabins/Cottages on Lake Lucerne property. We are more than happy to provide a list of appropriate places here in Eureka Springs.
Pets, Farmyard & Wildlife Information
All pets must be registered. Register them in the Special Requirements box as you book online or email the innkeeper. We rarely say no to any pet guest, but do reserve the right. Pets are allowed ONLY in the following cottages:
- Cabin 2
- Cricket Cottage – downtown
Pets not registered will be subject to steep fees if found in non-pet friendly cottages. We do charge a pet fee per stay: One Pet $35 – Two Pets $40 – Three Pets $45 (If you have more than three please call us to discuss.)
Pet Owner Rules
We are pet owners and know what fun it is to be able to let them travel with you. Unfortunately our cleaning staff is impacted greatly by unconscious pet owners. Thus, the rules! Please read carefully and adhere to these requests. There is a reason for each one of them.
- Fur is our biggest issue. Bring a sheet to cover the bed linens or furniture should your pet get on it. We can offer a vacuum so you can take care of any fur left behind. You must clean up the fur left behind. We levy steep cleaning fees for messes left behind by untrained, naughty pets. The best-behaved dogs will make mistakes on carpet in a new environment.
- Do not leave your pet in your guest cottage unattended without crating them. If there is an emergency and we need to get in the cottage, it is imperative they be crated.
- You are responsible for your pet(s) behavior. They must remain on leashes or under owner command at all times while on resort property.
- Please no Pee Pads! If your pet needs one, please don’t bring them. Or crate them.
- If you come up to the farmyard to see the animals, please do not bring your dog with you.
- Remember your pet is excited and in a new environment. They may not mind their manners as well as they do at home.
Our Geese & Ducks
Please do not feed our ducks or geese any people food, including bread, cereal, rice, pasts – they can be offered fruit or fresh veggies. People food shortens their life span significantly.
Please contact the office immediately if you see an injured bird or any wildlife on our property so we can assist it, including fishing line snags or fish hooks embedded.
ALL SLINGSHOTS, ARROWS AND BB GUNS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON LAKE LUCERNE RESORT AND RANCH PROPERTY.
Fishing at Lake Lucerne Resort and Ranch
An Arkansas State Fishing License is required. We are a catch and release lake. You can find Bass, Blue Gill, Crappie, Perch, Catfish and Grass Carp. Please clean up all fishing gear and trash including snags.
Items Left Behind
We only return items left behind when requested. This protects the privacy of our guests. Please email or call as soon as you know you are missing something.
With the large number of items left by our guests, and rising mail costs, we ask that you be prepared to cover the postage with a credit card number when you call. Please be patient in receiving your items back. It may take 3-4 weeks before you receive them.
